Cash machines are available in the main entrance area of the ICC and on the lower level of the main building of the ICEC. The nearest post office is located on Valikonagi Street in Nişantaşı. Business centre There is a Business Centre on the lower level of the main building of the ICEC. Certificate of attendance Participating delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance in the Congress Bag. Climate and dress code Istanbul enjoys a warm climate with occasional cool breezes from the Bosphorus. In June, the weather in Istanbul is usually warm and sunny with degrees around 20 – 25 °C. Meals Coffee/tea is included in the registration fee and will be served daily. Two cafeterias are located in the ICEC; one of which is located in the Main Building Ground Level Foyer and a larger catering area with seating facilities is located at the Rumeli Lower Level. In addition, coffee/tea will be served in the National Society Village on Level B2 of the ICC.
Mobile Phone Policy Please respect the Congress policy and switch off mobile phones in all meeting rooms and in the exhibition and poster areas. Also, please respect that it is not allowed to take any pictures during session in the meeting rooms.
Name Badges Your personal badge is your entrance ticket to all sessions, to the exhibition area and to social events. Please remember to always wear your badge in the Congress venue. If you have lost your badge a new one can be purchased, against proof of your original registration, from the Congress Secretariat at a cost of 60 EUR. Smoking Policy In accordance with the policy of the EAACI, this is a non-smoking event.
Social Events Desk Information on the social events of the Congress is available at the Social Events Desk in the registration area. Here you can also purchase tickets for social events. If you have already booked social events, the admission is registered in the bar code on your name badge, which has to be worn at all times during the Congress.
Tourist Information The Tourist Information Desk next to the General Information Desk and the reception in your hotel will be glad to answer any questions. Transportation Istanbul has a good public transportation network of buses, trams and underground trains. The Congress Venue is located in the heart of the city's business and cultural centre, allowing the delegate easy access to municipal, domestic and international transportation networks.
Distances: - 24 km / 14.3 miles from Atatürk International Airport (approx. 30 minutes by taxi) - 5 km / 3 miles from Sirkeci train station, terminal of the Orient Express - 100 m from Harbiye bus stop on the Taksim-Sisli line - 500 m from Taksim Metro Station linked to the city's new underground system Bus: The Airport Shuttle Bus (Havas) takes approximately 40 minutes depending on the traffic to Taksim Square, in central Istanbul. The price is 10 TRY, about 5 EUR.
Metro: You can take the metro from the airport to Aksaray station on the Airport-Aksaray line, where you can connect to the city tram & bus system. Price: 1.30 TRY, about 0.70 EUR.
Taxis: Taxis or dolmus (shared taxis) are available from the airport. A taxi into the city centre is the quickest option; it takes around half an hour and costs about 24 EUR. Although taxis are expensive in comparison to other means of transportation, they are cheap in comparison to other countries. As the price is metered, one should pay attention to be sure the driver turns on the meter. Please choose to take the official yellow taxi color. A dolmus is a shared taxi or minibus running a predetermined route, with each passenger paying only a part of the normal total fee.
